The Hands Behind Every Coffee Tree

Our project is based on the lives of small coffee farmers in the coffee-growing mountains of Colombia, from Risaralda to Dosquebradas. They are the ones who plant every seed, whose families protect every hillside, and whose traditions have shaped Colombian coffee for generations. By supporting My Little Coffee Tree, you support real families, real farms, and real stories.

Mr. Mario has spent most of his life in these Colombian hills, where coffee plants grow and the harvests set the rhythm of each day. Now, at almost 70, Mr. Mario doesn't measure time in years, but in harvests. Each season brings the same old work: pruning, fertilizing, tending, and waiting. With his quiet wisdom acquired over decades of experience, he learned to cultivate coffee the traditional way: observing his elders, working the land by hand, and listening attentively to the needs of the soil and the trees. For Mr. Mario, coffee is not a commercial fad or a global product. It is a responsibility passed down from generation to generation. It is early mornings, careful decisions, and patience forged over a lifetime. His work sustains his family and preserves a way of life rooted in respect for the land. When people around the world enjoy coffee, they rarely see the lives behind it. Mr. Mario embodies that invisible beginning: the steady hands, the long days, and the commitment that make each harvest possible. This is where coffee begins: with people like Mr. Mario.
